Amy Surrette grew up in Kalamazoo, MI. She attended Western Michigan University where she met her husband Andy. They moved to North Carolina 12 years ago. After the birth of her second child, Amy got involved with MOPS International (mothers of preschoolers). She founded a chapter of MOPS at Alamance Presbyterian Church in Greensboro. Once she moved to Raleigh she stepped up to be Council Coordinator of the Raleigh MOPS groups. It was not long after that the pastor told her of the need for a MMO in the area, and she felt led to take on the task of starting MMO at Leesville. She stepped down as CC at MOPS to focus on the preschool. With a lot of helping hands, hard work, and the blessing from the church MMO Preschool was formed. Amy is a mom of 3 children ages 10, 7 and 4. Outside of MMO she enjoys spending time with family, running, scrap booking, and playing guitar.
 

Jean Futrell grew up in High Point, NC. She was active in the youth program at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church and attended Montreat college studying Christian Education and Children’s Ministry. After college she spend a year in the Americorps program working with the communities in schools program. She moved to Raleigh when she married her husband Brian. She worked for several years at Westminster Presbyterian’s MMO program and the YMCA before coming to work at Leesville full time. Jean enjoys babysitting, spending time with family, reading, singing and acting.
 
 
 

Amanda Kulik grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio, where she graduated in 2003 with a degree in Early Childhood Education (Birth - 3rd grade) with a minor in Special Education. She is in her 5th year of teaching 1st grade at Briarcliff Elementary in Cary. She is looking forward to working with younger children with MMO this summer. When she is not working with children, she enjoys working out, traveling, and going to concerts.
