Women's Missionary Union
A call to serve
In 1888 a group of Southern Baptist women came together in Richmond VA. They decided to unite and began to teach the non-believers how to become Christians. They found a call to serve.
Since then the Women's Missionary Union have grown into a worldwide mission. Its purpose is to equip adults and children to be about the "Lord's Work, " and to assist the churches in their mission of education and of love.
Leesville's WMU women are servants of God and the Church. We are committed to willingly serve through prayer and action. We want to make a difference by uniting with the Pastor and officers to fulfill the needs of our church to further its growth. The WMU believes in the Great Commission. "Go and make disciples. " We were not told where to go; but let's get on our way and find a place to serve. Spend some time in prayer and be ready to match your God given gift with an opportunity to serve. Come and join us! Bring your ideas.
We meet every 3rd Monday evening, 7pm at Leesville Baptist Church.
