Ms Sue grew up in Michigan where she attended Western Michigan University. She moved down to North Carolina and ended up meeting her wonderful husband, Brian. They share 3 beautiful children and one energetic lab! Sue has been surrounded by children her whole life. She believes that you can make a difference in people’s lives by showing them love and kindness. She has volunteered with in schools and her community since her children were born. She started working at MMO in 2017 and it is her “Home away from Home”.

Ms. Jessica is new to MMO this year, and is looking forward to a wonderful year with your children. She graduated with a degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston in SC. She has lived in Raleigh since 2001 with her husband Nick. They have a yellow lab and two wonderful sons who keep them busy with all of their athletic and school activities. Jessica has helped out in her son’s schools since preschool doing everything from teaching science to serving on the PTA board. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting furniture, and spending time with her family.
MS. KAREN B.
Ms. Karen grew up in Richmond, VA and attended UNCW. She moved back to the Carolinas after marrying her husband, Michael. She competed heavily in endurance riding specializing in 100 mile distances on her beloved horse Sam. She holds several regional and national titles. She has since put her horseback ventures on hold to focus on her three beautiful children and their extracurricular activities. she served as a personal nanny for over 6 years and continues to care for multiple children during track out and summer breaks. She is extremely devoted to community service, helping with many ministries including being a girl scout cadette leader.
MS. KAREN W.
Ms. Karen has been teaching at MMO since 2011. She grew up in Stafford, VA. She attended Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!), where she received a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development. In the fall of 2000, she made Raleigh her home to help serve with a campus church, Grace. She met her husband, Tommy, while serving there. She has had many different experiences in education. Prior to coming to MMO, she has taught as a traveling tutor, a co-teacher to infants, toddlers, and preschool, and as a teacher assistant in the public schools. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband. Together they minister to college students and young adults. They also enjoy playing games and entertaining friends in their home.
Ms. Lora is originally from Upstate NY, where she graduated from the State University of New York (SUNY) college at Oneonta with a Business Economics degree. After moving to Raleigh 19 years ago, she earned her MBA at Campbell University and spent her early career in the marketing industry. After having kids and staying home with them, Ms. Lora watched other kids in her home and loved taking daily adventures with them all.
Besides teaching at MMO, you can also find Ms. Lora teaching fitness classes at the AE Finley YMCA. Fitness has been a passion of hers for years and she has recently started teaching some of the early morning classes there.
Ms. Lora has two boys, ages 13 (8th grade) and 10 ( 5th grade) who keep her busy. She loves attending their soccer games and spending time with them at the pool. Ms. Lora also loves to spend time with her dog Baxter, traveling to the beach and time with friends.
Ms. Lora had previously been the Music and Movement specials teacher at another preschool for the Spring of 2019. She is excited to bring her ideas to MMO and incorporate music and movement into the MMO program.
